IN RETROSPECT project - Fall 2022

I spent the Fall investigating some underlying motivations for why human beings romanticize the past. The term “rosy retrospection” refers to our tendency to recall the past more fondly than the
present, all else being equal. This installation is essentially a metaphor for that cognitive bias.

WALKING DISTANCE project - Fall 2022

This project intends to evoke a sense of nostalgia in the viewer by way of past artifacts while also tying in a personal element from my own past, my grandmother’s television. A 1959 episode of the TV show, The Twilight Zone, is fuzzily displayed on the television with a series of pink-colored symbols cast over it. I challenge the viewer to decipher my visual language and decode the episode.

SPACE BARBIE project - Fall 2022

What does a story physically look like? Especially a story that seems too weird to be true. When a story is removed from its original context is it still weird, or does resemble a meditation? This project demonstrated to me the definition of serendipity.

Film Photography - Through the years

I have a fasincation with vintage artifacts, my mother’s 1975 Canon TX film camera being one of those fasincations. I enjoy documenting life in motion with my loved ones and welcome the serendipitous moments that accompany the craft.

Enhancing the Usability of Knowunity for High School Students in the United States

Knowunity approached our team of researchers to conduct a usability study of their mobile application and investigate how the platform is perceived by high school students in the United States.

The main objective of this project was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the systems, strategies, and lexicons currently utilized in the user experience for Nuuly, a women's clothing rental subscription service delivered through mail order.

UX NEEDED IN IRL project
Dec 2022

This project served as an exercise in paying attention to the inconveniences that happen to us in daily life, then coming up with an original solution for making a user pain point into a seamless, streamlined solution. I chose to create a candle company with a focus on sustainability and mitigating excessive consumer waste.

UX TO BENEFIT MY COMMUNITY project
Nov 2022

This project served as an exercise in noticing something that was missing from my community and devising a solution that would be of benefit to all. I chose to create my “Under ($)10 in 10(min)” map that would display all eateries in a 10-minute proximity to Pratt Institute that had food under $10. It now lives in the community studio to aid its users in answering the age-old question: what do I want to eat?

VERMONT COUNTRY CREAMERY branding exercise

This project was one of my first attempts at developing a brand. My goal was to evoke the whimsical and nostalgic sensation that comes with going out for ice cream in a small town in Vermont.

BARC HAUS branding exercise

The project served as an exercise in creating a modern DTC dog clothing brand with a playful flare. After all, who doesn’t like to see an adorable dog in an equally adorable sweater?
